I would just like to ask if we could feature your story? Kindly email me asap at: ana. Rodrigo26 [at] gmail.com. Hoping for a positive response. Thanks.:)

I was surprised to read this stories. I can atest to what you have experienced. It was year 2003 when we had a group trip to Quezon where we spent overnight at a resort. We met young kids who shared some stories which got our attention. However late that night when most were asleep some heard loud flapping of wings over our roof which we decided not to investigate until it stopped when moring was near. I guess fright got over us being strangers and unfamiliar with the area. Keep sharing your experiences there!

[at] fatthead: nope. We weren't able to kill it. It is said that only silver bullets or buntot pagi (stingray's tail) can only kill aswangs. I think they are part of the supernatural.

[at] Surya: people from our province told my parents that these type of aswangs are shapeshifters. It just so happened that they took form of huge blackbirds with red glowing eyes. We had an experience once, also in quezon, where the aswang took the shape of a huge black boar.

These type of aswangs can smell if a person is/are sick. They feed on the illnesses of the people of the sick person and at the same time sick person slowly dies... Well that's what they say.

When the huge birds attacked us, my mom and three brothers weren't feeling well. Nothing serious though they just had the flu.

[at] The black claymore: I saw this kapre (a big black man who smokes a tobacco) but when I saw him he wasn't smoking one. And then I saw 3 white figures floating in my uncles terrace. But they weren't doing anything bad to my family. So I didn't mind them that much.

Actually my dad bought silver bullets already and a buntot pagi (tail of a stingray) it is said in philippine custom that aswangs are scared of buntot pagis and silver bullets. They also can be killed only by these two.

you mean the gunshot did not kill this big red eyed bird and so there was more then just one. Also theys birds are paranormal or supernatural? Forgive my typeing skills.

well what to say, what to say. See I have read about these aswangs and from what little I know of them, are they supposed to be evil vampire-like creatures. What you describe sounds like a big bird wheras an aswang is portrayed like a monster with wings which flaps very strong when she's far and very soft when she's nearer.

Good luck hunting your bird.

Hmm interesting!

The stories about witches, aswangs etc have always fascinated me.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful experience direct face to face with an aswang.

Hmm. Those Elementals you saw, can you tell me about them? And the Aswangs, beware them. Next time avoid looking at their eyes, and try to use silver. If you can get it on the ground, slice off its head. Throw a cross on its body and burn it. I hope I help...
