Darkness - seriously? Us, behaving ourselves? Right! Yeah, that's what we've been doing. Yeah, that's it! Sure. Uh huh!
😉
Best of luck to you on your mission! They're called "drop" bears for a reason, you know?!

Know what? I think I would take on a jackalope with a wet noodle only before I even ATTEMPTED walking through a wood with a screwdriver raised high over my head in the event that a drop bear should decide to make it's presence known! Blooming mutated Koala's anyway...
I can SO hear Dalton saying "Nuthin! I dinent do nuthin!"
Is it not amazing that the children who experience seem to take it all in stride with a shrug, a funny face to US, and no lingering apprehensive thoughts? It is just a really good thing Mary was a nice old lady.

Oh no, not again! Wait, we're missing a few friends around here, aren't we? And since we aren't hijacking anyone's page, we can have free range on mine!
I'm not sure about the drop bears though. Those things are kind of freaky!

BadJuuJuu, a beetle? Seriously? Wow, we got birds, cats, dogs on the other site and a beetle here? WTH? That's kind of funny if you think about it. And then they tell you "Error. No story found." Hmmm... Trying to tell you something, huh? LOL!
BJJ, thank you! Going to submit the other one about Dalton, Buzz and Mary over the weekend. Let me know what you think about it, okay?

Darkness - hey stranger, where you been? I agree, I think Mary did know it was Dalton. She seemed to take a liking to my little man. And trust me, my heart did a little pitter patter when I found the doorknob still in the locked position LOL!
We've since moved and the daughter of the man we rented from lives there, so I don't know what Mary does anymore, but I'm positive she hasn't gone anywhere!

Great story 😁.
I tried to say that yesterday, and then the site lagged up, took me to a picture of a beetle, and a message that said "Error. No story found." So, I'm saying it today lol. ❤

Ahhhh Miracles, great to hear from you and another excellant story. Well it seems that Mary knew very well who was knocking on the door that day, would have been quite freaky to see the doorknob still in the locked position. As long as she doesn't open it for strangers lol 😊 Good to hear from you.
Thanks for sharing.

Aw Granny, thanky thanky! You know something funny, Dalton doesn't knock on our door at all now! Course where we live, we don't lock it every day, but the days we do, he never knocks. He just waits on me to unlock it. I never noticed that until now. Weird.
Ridiculous how we get so used to our ghosts being with us, isn't it? I don't mean ridiculous in a negative or mean way, just in an ironic sort of way. 😉 Miss 'em when they're gone.
Hopefully you'll have some good stories soon for us. 😆

Miracles: HI there!...Welcome back!...
I wish I had a spirit like that!...My ghosties did like the garage door 😆...But since we've moved we've locked ourselves out of this house 3 times already!...In a month and a half! 😆...
Dalton's a cutie pie... Does he still knock on the door?...Ya know, maybe I'll try that the next time... If there is a next time... ❤

Cosmogal, thank you for that warm welcome back! I've got another one about Mary and Dalton I'm going to try and submit. Wanted to see how this one went over first 😆. Mary was good to us, though. And, yes, it's great when they are helpful. I just like to point out that not all ghosts are the "ooohhh, I'm here to scare you" kind, you know!
I like that the woman you know also said thank you! I think politeness is always appreciated.

Hey there Miracles, good to see your back with another story 😁 That was very kind of Mary to open the door for Dalton at least you knew if you had ever forgotten your keys, she would open the door for you. This happened to a woman I know, she forgot her keys the garage was locked and it was snowing. She called her sister and was saying, "Oh I can't believe it, me and my son are locked out we have a car full of groceries and we have to wait until my husband gets home" As soon as she finished that sentence the garage door started to open on it's own. She said thank you and drove in. It's nice when they can lend a helping hand. 😊 ❤

And your interpretation of Dalton was right on. He looked at me over his left shoulder, just a small glance and proceeded to walk in the door with not a care in the world. Not noticing that my heart was in my throat or maybe it was on the ground (actually I'm not sure where it was!) He just walked right into the house like nothing unusual had happened. It was no big deal to him.
