Jan, I emailed Hecate the link to this story. I don't know how busy she is at the moment. But I'm sure when she has a moment she'll be all over this with crystal insight and advice.
OMG! I just re-read your comment, I thought it was 100 pounds NOT 1,000 WOW!
Okay now I'm astounded! 😆 That's 1,000pounds worth of awesomeness! Your flower garden sounds amazing!😊

Hi again, As child, on these hills, I remember these boulders/stones scattered about. In our town history (1910) it is said, as if God bowled them hither.
The woods have grown thick and time has covered. One that I brought home has a streak of melted rock that shows bubbles, like from a volcano. During the last ice age they were dropped on the land as it melted. Quarts or crystals I am unsure, perhaps both. I will follow up with Rook, when we have pictures. Our plan is to bring more, creating a large boarder for our flower garden. We have not had equipment to dig and move until now. I will keep everyone posted.
My health is very bad, for many years... I will follow up with others about this, willing to try anything. Thanks so much

Jan, I'm so deeply sorry to hear about your health concerns. I honestly and wholeheartedly hope you are well now. There's a member here, Hecate, who does energy healing. I'm not sure if this is something you'd be interested in. If it is, she's great and she can do it long distance. She hasn't been on YGS recently but I have her email. If you want I can email her, get you both in contact, I'm sure she won't mind a bit. She knows a lot about crystals too!
I don't know Rook personally, only know him from this site. The only way I can get a message to him is by email. I don't mind emailing him for you, that's cool. But what might be easier is linking you to his page, here:
He's got his email address on there. I'm sure he won't mind getting an email from you. 😊
I love your ghostie pal! You two clearly had a strong bond. I think you were very lucky to have him in your life. Even if your Mother wouldn't have agreed!

Hi Tweed, Thank you for your reply. When anyone faces the work of selling the home that not only carried your childhood memories but those of your family. They will find it to be the hardest job they ever did. I made many mistakes, pressured by time and family members.
I was a teacher of Art, English and History. This was done after a 10 year job as a commercial and graphic artist (burn out).
My broken hand a small thing, as I had lupus during all of this. For the last 20 years the lupus has aimed at my joints, after several spine surgeries, my hips and knees also. I now have much metal in me. And much pain. Ovarian cancer has not helped.
Over these years, art has become meaningless.
On another subject, the man with a gold tooth. I had climbed on an old broken rocking chair in the basement. My old man was sitting in it, I was hugging him (early school years) and my Mother saw me on this chair, but she did not see him. She was beyond upset, and I do recall her screaming. My toes on the tip of the chair, my arms around nothing. How is it that I didn't fall.
I think he may have been a connection to my Mother as after her death, I never saw him again. Maybe he was so very kind as he knew she would not be with us much longer. I hope to know one day.
Tweed 😁 😁 😁 can you get a message to Rook! Rook was so kind in sending me information on the meaning of crystal and other stones. I researched more. Yesterday, my sweetie loaded two of the best white mixed crystals, we have found, more than 1,000 pounds, and carried them home. Covered with two bedspreads on our tractor trailer. Can't wait to scrub and power wash.

Oh Jan 😢 I'm sad you threw your artwork away. So sorry to hear about your hand, that must be awful, I can't even imagine. 😢
On a completely different and lighter note, I'm so impressed by you being carried down the stairs, wow! What an awesome ghostie!

Hi Tweed,
I can't answer why I am private with my art work, insecure I think. I had the massive job of cleaning out my Dad's home after he died. I looked through the pad, remembering... So much stuff went into the trash, I threw it away and kept all my Mothers art work instead. My kids and nieces and nephews my have kept some.
I fell and broke my hand three years ago, so the drawing is in the past, I fear it healed poorly, as it is even painful to write.

Hi All at YGS,
I am sorry for the delay, had a couple of nights up on the land. Thank you for the complements, I am grateful that overall I am not boring you.
Yes, I do have memories of the old man with the gold tooth. Perhaps when I was just a toddler and up, he would lift me up and carry me down stairs, he was very kind and gentle. We had part of cellar as a garage, where we parked our car and truck-big doors in front, but under the house.
Standing on the bottom step my Mother would ask how did I get there so fast? I would tell her the man carried me, she naturally did not believe me.
Thanks again,
Jan 😁

Loved the details and writing style! Though I am younger than you but I like to think I havean old soul and can appreciate your childhood... Minus anything scary though. Thanks for sharing, added to favourites! 😆

Oh Jan, how I love reading your stories!
Do you still have that pad? Or any of your childhood drawings?
I love to draw faces and people too. Perhaps deep down your capturing of this man is why you were reluctant to show people your artwork.
Do you remember, in the times you were drawing him, if you knew you were drawing the man you saw in the basement?
Or did his image seem to flow from you subconsciously and the likeness of this basement dweller dawn on you later?
I agree with Wish-Not, great ending! What we don't know often weighs just as captivating as the details we do. Your mystery man must have left a good impression.😊
Thank you for sharing!

5 years ago I found a small white stone in the pasture and spent hours with a garden shovel, trying to dig it up, until he found me and started to dig also. We began to see it was NOT small. Each year we have picked at it.
He has a tractor now with the ability to lift and carry. There were two of such boulders that he brought to camp site. Many of these stones are in the woods and unreachable by machinery. Two are pinkish. All have pale yellow in spots, all imperfect, only white not clear in places, small areas of grey stone melted in or black. Many more lay under forest unfound. Am I obsessed?
I feel these two need to be scrubbed as much had been underground (stained) in part. Many years ago my Dad had pushed a few to stone walls, one was taken as a grave marker/with a brass plaque.
Will be fun to learn they have spiritual value. There are hundreds to find. My son shares the interest and carried away many small ones to make a fireplace in his home.
Tweed, thank you for placing me with others on this site, I am grateful.
