ForbiddenRose - I really feel that you need somebody to talk to. I get the feeling that you are very alone with what you are experiencing.
As I have said before, I don't believe I can be of much assistance but if you feel you would like somebody to chat to, please feel free to contact me via e-mail. My e-mail address is on my profile page.
Regards, Melda

That's okay Melda! You and the rest who have assisted me have done your part. I just wanted to know what was going on with me. If I need help then so be it. All I want is the truth. You weren't being harsh at all. I would rather have someone tell me like it is rather than lead me down the wrong path. Now I know what's really going on and I can seek help. Thanks for everything and if you guys still comment I will reply. Thanks again! ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

ForbiddenRose - What I said in my previous post might have come across as being a bit harsh.
In all honesty, if you are hearing voices in your head, I can't be of any assistance to you at all. I can't speak for other members of YGS but I would imagine that they would also suggest that you seek psychiatric assistance. Then again, that is an assumption on my part.
Is Rhyder responsible for all this? I don't know but I have to be absolutely frank with you and say that I find it highly improbable.
As much as I would like to assist you as far as possible, I'm afraid I have reached the limit of my ability to do so.
Please keep us updated on your progress.

[at] Melda. The event about the dream and the dog happened this morning. The voice thing has been like that for years. Basically what I am trying to do is "spill the tea" and make sure I don't miss any details. And I'm not saying personally it would be funny to pull someone's hair but that's what I hear in my head...

ForbiddenRose - In the space of an hour you have come up with two extra events which seem to be causing you some concern.
The fact that you have seen a dog isn't so unusual at all. I have seen my pets, dogs and cats, after their respective deaths. I have only seen one dog that I did not know and he was attached to an apparition which I saw at the same time.
If you have an urge to harm people and you find it amusing, even if it is as simple as pulling somebody's hair, or as serious as wanting to fight with someone for no reason, I have to go back to my original advice to you that you need to see a psychiatrist.
What you describe there, in my opinion, is not "normal" behaviour.
Regards, Melda

Plus I horrible random and unwanted thoughts throughout the years. For example out of nowhere ill just have a thought come to mind saying "pull a girls hair and that it would be funny." or just want to fight someone out of nowhere. And when I say I have seen Rhyder since I was young I mean around 11 to 12 years old is when everything really got bad. 😕

Quick update I had a bad dream about my parents and Ryder was in it. Also I saw an apparition of a black dog in my dorm room. It looked innocent yet dark at the same time. It was a black dog that look like my grandfather's golden retriever... And it stared at me in that one second that I saw it. 😟

Omg thank you SOOOO much Melda! That experience I read from you have given me significant inspiration! I will reach out to a Catholic priest as soon as humanly possible. Of course I am in college and I do not know when this will be, but I now know what I must do. If anything should happen afterwards, I won't hesitate to see a psychiatrist. 😁 ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

ForbiddenRose - I know your comment was addressed to Anno_Domini and I'm quite sure he will reply to you.
However, I have been following the comments on your predicament and have the following to offer: I don't like pushing people towards any religious belief but it seems that the comments are flowing in that direction. I am a lapsed Catholic, for very personal reasons. Nevertheless I am still Christian.
You can be assisted in many ways which don't reflect the Christian belief. You might be interested in having a look at Rookdygin's cleansing ritual which you will find on his profile page, which is not orientated towards any religion whatsoever.
If you are interested in how I rid myself of a bothersome spirit, you might like to read one of my experiences. I have included the link. Please don't think that I am trying to persuade you to take my route, it was simply the only way out for me at the time.

[at] Anno. Thank you so much! But who should I go to? I'm Christian, but I do know a pastor that deals with demons. However there are many Catholic churches here. Should I try one?

ForbiddenRose, just to add on to what I've already said.
As a fellow Christian (and seeing that you asked your fellow believers tells me that your faith means a lot to you), we believe that Jesus the Christ has the ultimate authority over all entities, and that in accepting His sacrifice for us brings the Holy Spirit in us.
Tell it which is bothering you firmly to leave you in Jesus' name. Also constantly pray and ask God to protect you from further oppression. I would like to leave you with a verse for encouragement.
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" Romans 8:38-39 (NIV)

Hi ForbiddenRose, I am more or less copying this from my response to a similar account that was given by AmbitiousSlave. That doesn't detract from your burden of demonic oppression.
I believe that these spirits / demons / entities or whatever we may wish to call them have the sole purpose of hindering you from living your life to the fullest, and in many cases can result in the victim being withdrawn or even ushering in the onset of mental illness. [Please see my profile for my views on this]
My advice to you is to visit your nearest church and seek help from the pastor or priest. Although not mentioned much in today's churches, many pastors and priests do deal with demonic entities. Will keep you in prayers.

[at] Rook you bring up a good point. I don't know if I can even cut off my ability to see spirits (if he is real that is). I'm positive I cut off the energy flow. I never see any apparitions of him when I don't send energy.

[at] Miracles yes I have plenty of hobbies: drawing, campus activities, zumba classes, etc. I always focus on the environment around me or just go for walks and think. It's when he bothers me that I get consumed.

ForbiddenRose - have you tried focusing your attention on something other than Rhyder? Maybe redirecting your thoughts and energy toward something positive could help change things. We have had many members who have suggested things such as a new hobby, whether it is an active hobby like riding a bike or just getting out and walking can make a difference. Change your habits; focus on something that has nothing whatsoever to do with what is going on. Positive energy can make a huge difference.

forbiddenrose,
"Yes I do believe I have some control over the energy. The less I give that's when I cannot see him anymore."
Are you sure this is because you have 'cut off the energy flow' or have you just managed to 'close' your ability (ies) and as such you no longer 'see' him? It's important to know the difference.
Respectfully,
Rook

Thank you Randy and Melds! [at] Randy I have prayed many nights but nothing has worked. Today I actually feel like he isn't bothering me but I still feel random touches and sensations. Which leads me to wonder if my cries have been for naught?

Hello forbiddenrose
I am so sorry you are having this difficult time
And I'm also glad you chose to share with us
Know your among friends who have your best interest at heart
I never ever take the path of religion when commenting on stories but because of your situation and you professing to be a Christian
I'm going To make an exception
Being a Christian means you have certain beliefs
And I want you to use those beliefs as your weapon of choice. One of those core beliefs is that there is NOTHING in this universe that God can't defeat. You must believe and know that God can and will
Defeat this for you. The victory is already yours. Embrace it. Feel it and know it. When you sense something near proclaim that you are Gods child who he loves and protects and you are to be left alone. Believe and know this with all your heart
You need to come st this from a stance of victory
Please please seek adult help in this matter and also keep us informed. We're here for you

ForbiddenRose - Thanks for your reply.
So one of the reasons you are uncertain about seeking help is because you want a career in the army. I take it you haven't joined yet. I'm sure they would want a clean bill of health from you, medically and mentally.
I'm assuming certain medical and psychiatric examinations are carried out by their own qualified medical personnel. (I'm not sure how these things are conducted in the US.) So, at the end of the day, if you do in fact have any health or mental issues, these will come to light through their medical examinations.
Whatever you decide to do, and the decision is yours alone, please do what is right for you at this time.
Regards, Melda

I agree with the suggestion by the previous posters about consulting a therapist.
I have a question about your following statements:
"I started feeling him touch me in various places, I saw mini scratches on my finger tips, my energy felt like it had been drained, and I had possible out of body experiences...:
And:
"...I have treated him poorly by ignoring him and basically starving him of my energy but Rhyder still won't leave..."
Does this mean that you have some level of control when he tries to drain energy from you? Have you noticed any difference on his strength after these 'energy starvation'?
As for being afraid to talk to your parents, in my opinion, keeping it quiet is not going to help and it's not a reason for you not looking for medical help.
Thanks for sharing.

Hello forbiddenrose!
Try to consider the option of consulting first a psychiatrist. If you truly have schizoprenia, then early treatment would help change things up. I would agree with Melda about talking to your priest/pastor. You definitely need help from someone. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you Melda! And I have told my father but I didn't tell him that I might have schizophrenia. I tried to before but it just wasn't the right time. Its not the first time this has happened... And when I say I have had spells cast, I mean I have actually asked a witch who does spells to rid me of this "incubus". And yes Rhyder is the name I gave him. I asked for his real name before but he never told me. And I'm rather... Afraid to talk to my parents about it. Especially considering going into the army. I don't know if that will hinder my career or not. I just want the torment and the apparitions to end. ❤

ForbiddenRose - Something that surprises me is that I don't see any mention of your parents. Did you ever discuss any of these rather troubling experiences with them?
Schizophrenia is a serious mental illness. You shouldn't take what your friends say to heart, I seriously doubt whether they are qualified to diagnose you. I must admit that I'd never heard of Stockholm Syndrome before. I googled it and quite honestly, that sounds pretty alarming as well.
I believe that it would be highly advisable for you to consult a psychologist or a psychiatrist.
You state that from a young age you have been troubled by a paranormal entity named Rhyder. Did he tell you his name, or is that merely your own name for him?
As far as sitting on your chest and trying to hurt/kill you is concerned, that could possibly have been sleep paralysis or very bad nightmares. I'm not saying that that is the case, but it's very probable.
If what you are experiencing now is indeed an incubus, or something paranormal, it isn't necessarily a demon. Perhaps you pay too much attention to what your friends have to say. For instance, your friend who doesn't believe in magic. I don't see where magic fits in here at all.
You also says that you had spells cast. What do you mean by that?
Do you honestly believe that boys are not interested, or are already taken, as you put it, because of this spirit/incubus? I don't think so. You probably just haven't met anybody yet with whom you have been able to form that sort of relationship. It'll happen in time, don't worry about that.
Therefore, my suggestion to you is to consult a therapist. You say you are Christian. It might also be advisable to have a chat with your priest/pastor.
How active is your family in your life? It sounds as though you could do with the support of your parents and/or other mature family members.
Try to remain positive. You sound very confused and you needn't go through all the negativity on your own.
I'm pleased that you have submitted your experience to YGS and I'm sure other readers will have good advice for you.
Regards, Melda

You have received sound advice on mental health and on spiritual help from multiple YGSers, so there is no need for me to add anything on that point. I'm going to state that I have some reservations about your narrative, but the rest of this response will presume that you have told the truth in your original submission and in your responses to everyone else. [Call it my giving you the "benefit of the doubt."]
There is an issue that has been bothering me as I read through this narrative and the subsequent discussion. You informed Melda that "Rhyder is the name I gave him. I asked for his real name before but he never told me." Look in your Bible for the exorcisms Jesus performed; he specifically asks the name of the unclean spirit (e.g.: "Legion") in order to cast it/them out. When "Rhyder" withholds information from you, he has the power in the relationship.
Your energy-draining sexual predator has avoided telling you who he/it is, so you gave him a name. **If** this is not a symptom of schizophrenia, you've opened yourself up to a haunting entity and strengthened the connection by giving him/it a nickname you like, put parameters on the relationship (i.e.: you can't have al your friends here in my house), withheld permission for him/it to take your energy when he's upset you, and you've not told everyone in your home about him. I am not going to suggest this spirit is "demonic" or "devilish," but it certainly fits the description of an unhealthy, codependent relationship I will state that I think his bringing **other** spirits to your home to feed on your energy/emotions was horrible. Even in a best-case scenario, his/its behavior was sketchy because the clear implication is that you had enough energy to feed his friends, too. You are an individual, not a buffet-table of edible energies.
Please do follow the sound advice everyone has provided, but ask yourself what you are getting out the relationship. Is this a healthy behavior pattern, or is it more like an addiction?
Best,
Biblio.
